Conducting contextual inquiries at Public Safety Answering Points (9-11 Call Centers) about emergency communications products and subsequent research analysis.

Responsibilities include preliminary research, creating interview guides, conducting contextual interviews, and analyzing and synthesizing findings.

The aim is to identify pain-points and inefficiencies for the users and provide design recommendations on how to improve them by the end of the project.

Research Assistant @ Systems Cognition Engineering Laboratory

July 2025 – Present

Setting up and collecting data for trials, for a Motor Skills Acquisition for Laparoscopic surgery tools.

Will additionally be responsible for data analysis this semester.

Research Study Assistant @ Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (Infrastructure-Based Safety Systems Department)

May 2025 – Dec 2025

Working on studies under the Infrastructure-Based Safety Systems department in the following roles:

Data Reductionist: Responsible for watching participant footage to find relevant data points for analysis.

On-Road Support: Responsible for setting up and maintaining study design and protocols throughout trial duration.
